PICS---Countryside Report #1 -- It was a good show and a great weekend. It started with a group of the early arrivals having dinner and a beverage at Palmer Place in LaGrange. We've met there on the Friday before the show for several years now. Saturday morning Harvey, Skip, and Tom K. stopped by my house for a bodacious breakfast prepared by my dear wife, viewed my 1:43 collection, saw most of my Lionel & MTH stuff work and then stopped off to see my '58 Bel Air. Some of the guys went to the Ferrari Show and I heard there were a few purchases (but not of a 1:1). Then it was another excellent BuzFest hosted by Buz and Jean Kirkel. I was so wrapped up in the camaraderie and looking at the 1:43's, and then buying a brilliant looking Madison 1948 Dodge Coupe in Fleetmaster Grey (a/k/a "battleship grey"), that I forgot to take pics there. I'm sure that Harvey did and will post later. Then we were off to PizzaFest at Giordano's with all of the thin and deep dish pizza we wanted. Good stuff. BTW, a tip of the hat to Tom Kinney for again arranging the details and coordinating Palmer Place and PizzaFest with a nod to yours truly as chauffeur.

Countryside 2014
It was a very nice weekend. Many thanks to Tom and Frank for all their efforts. It was great to spend time with all in attendance.

Ah....the Frenchman, Monsieur LeVine! Yep, that's Howie. I actually did well by him this year. And that wood Hispano Suiza by Franklin Mint he is standing behind was absolutely spectacular!
