A beauty Chris! One that I missed, but here's that Ford.

A wonderful Dinky Toy
I'll echo Harv -- I missed this one, too, and I'm sorry I did. Love everything about this Peugeot from top to bottom. Like Harv, I have the American Ford which is one of my favorite Dinky Toys, principally because of those four opening doors! Fantastic that they were able to do this on both the Ford and Peugeot back in the day.....

I thought these 1400 or most of them were all made in Spain for Dinky...
Good report! I'm not familiar with Dinky cars generally, even though my older brother had a large Dinky collection. He emphasized English production into the early 1960's, with, I think, his favorites being from the pre-World War II period. On his death nearly twenty years ago, his wife had a dealer auction the entire collection through an English auction firm. I only hope some European collectors welcomed his cars home again. Thanks for bringing back memories of our good times together.
Hopefully it will not need the "Big Blue", Chris...PIC 😉

Great model Chris. I owned a real 504 saloon and later an estate...
Both suffered from head gasket failure - a common problem with them. After the original gaskets were replaced they were fine. I was particularly fond of the estate although tin worm eventually got it.

Thanks John, I seem to remember that the estate version was a popular ...
choice in the UK.

Thank you David and I am glad this post brought back happy memories .….
for you. Sounds like your brother had a really impressive collection of Dinky Toys. I am certain that all those models were welcomed into other peoples collections.

Thanks Skip. Not many toy firms released a model with four opening doors with ...
rear doors opening from the B pillar. Just shows the technical finesse from Dinky Toys, France who had two such models with this feature.
BTW British Dinky Toys released two models with this feature a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and a Ford Zodiac.

Thank you Harv, and that Ford has alluded my collection on many …..
occasions. One day, as they say, I will secure an example of this most impressive model car.
Thanks for showing your wonderful model again.
