PICS - GP & F1, + a small WRC Rally grouping updated. Any race car fans out there?
All the best to you all for the New Year - All of it, and may your little car dreams come true.
Here is another display that I updated in December.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

WRC Rally cars through the years, my favorite is the Healy, and would like to find a 1964 Paddy Hopkirk Mini which would then become the new favorite.

Impressive Display Steve
Looks like an interesting mix of manufacturers amongst the F1 cars too. Who made the Hulme M23? did it come with the driver?
That would be Minichamps Lee, and with the driver figure.
Terrific collection, Steven
I only have a few scattered F1 models, but my ideal would be to recreate a full
grid from a particular year. Wonder if that's possible?
Harvey's been working on LeMans. Cool idea!
It is possible Paul and many have done so but it seems to require a bit of time and building or commissioning the building of a number of kits.
Cheers and Happy Collecting,
Steve
John re: post #10962 - the late Ron Peggs devoted ....
his time to do just this with Le Mans grids.
He got to within the last 20 before he sold his collection. An amazing feat
considering the race started in 1923 and had a vast variety of competition
entries. His collection was exhibited at the Grand Prix Models shop for a time.

Yeah Okay
He says looking rather embarrassedly at the example sitting front and centre of his Kiwi drivers display shelf.
Also spotted the Hopkirk mini at British American Models (www.diecasts.org) If your interested.
For anyone attempting a Le Mans grid, this is a helpful website
I just noted that one of my pictures migrated there from this Forum! Rui Sousa gave me credit even though my name was spelled wrong (car #27 from 1981).
That's great!!! Garvey Horenson is famous! ๐
Well it wasn't THAT bad ๐
OK Lee, you lit a fire under me. Just ordered a 1/43 IXO/ALTAYA MINI COOPER RALLY DIORAMA.
Ease up...Garve!
