PICS - Hispano Suiza H6B Kellner by Franklin Mint

Hi everybody. I made new shots of this nice oldie and I wanted to share with you.

Looking at this model I think how has changed the way I saw Franklin Mint models. Back in the 90s I always remember the FM collections displayed in collector shops and the seemed to me the most accurate I never saw. Just today, they look quite different... So they still have a lot of charm...

Regards

I too have this FM Hispano Suiza but I don't have the paperwork that came with it, now are you sure that the coachwork is by "Kellner"?, thanks for any help.

Is that a 1:43rd?

I had to look it up, but according to the Car List, it sure is.

Doesn't say anything about Kellner coachwork, though, in the car list of FM 1/43rds. Retail price was $65 when new.

It´s sold as 1/43, size seems to be correct. In the box and paperwork say it´s 1/43..

Look at this link...

This the Antonio Barrio Hispano Suiza web. Antonio Barrio is an expert and spanish car artist. Some models with Kellner coachwork shown in this link looks very close to the Franklin Mint model...

Thanks for posting this older FM, Keko. It's easy to be distracted by the

FM opening features, but I enjoy many, perhaps even most, of these FM 1:43 models. Yes, they are showing their age and it's easy to see how more modern models have improved. But they are still interesting.

Thanks Keko for giving us that site you mentioned and I think you are quite correct as I found the image you mentioned of that particular Hispano which has a Kellner body and does appear to be the FM 1/43 model and the same year of 1928, some very nice artists impressions of other Hispanos too, now lets have a couple of 1/43 Skoda-Hispano models !

Thanks Karl...

Antonio Barrios has an excellent knowledge of Spanish cars, specially Hispano Suiza and Pegaso, and, of course, he has a great talent painting them...
