PICS. I think I might be morphing into the much revered JR, but not as good. I've been having a bit of fun with the recently released Lansdowne Humber Hawk, and two toned a couple of them. I think the resultant models are quite attractive, and its a pity that Lansdowne didn't release them as two toned cars, but as is very often the case, this process is quite time consuming and therefore expensive, and eats
s into production times. This is more the case with these Humbers with their sandwich two toning schemes. The whitewall tyres, which were an optional extra on the full size cars, help to lift the model. I've also posted a photo sowing the two repaints with the standard Humber Hamk for comparison

They look really nice in two tones. Great work, Mike.
Yep, that two toning really pops those Humbers out, Mike!
Great work Mike...I see you've put Super Snipe wheels on too!
Yes. The brochures I have, and have seen all showed the full hub caps
So I presumed that this was correct. Also many of the photos of the '57 on t'net showed that too.
Thanks Mark & Scott for the compliments
Nicely done Mike, really like the top one!
Thanks Peter. That's my favourite colour scheme too
Well done, Mike. I also like your chome work. Great painting!
Outstanding Mike. The paint and chrome work are first rate.
Many thanks Bob and David
So much improved from stock! Great work.
Looks great ! Excellent work.
Thank you Mike & Ken
Great jobs. Very tastefully done.
I appreciate someone who does not consider Brooklins or Landownes too sacred to be improved upon.
