Pics: Last months I built 7 Somerville kits
Not all easy to build. That is why i made the pics not too sharp!!!
But still I like these British cars of that period.

Looking good, Jacques! (pic) Right now I'm working on a Monogram Corvette, but I prefer the white metal kits. Your successful builds help me as I think about my next project. Thanks for posting your fine work! I'm also attaching a quick shot of a Somerville kit that I completed a few months ago. It was fun, but kind of hard to work with. I like it!

Really nice build and model David....I also prefer the white metal models, but resins are sharp and crisp with nice details.

Looks good , David. All my Somervilles are factory built, except the one I showed in this post
The time I bought them, Somerville Models were assembled and built by the McHard family till 2003.

John , what is your experience with the fitting of parts from Somerville kits?

Been a while since I built one of these or some K & Rs or Westerns but with all white metal kits they take a bit of "fettling" and trial fitting to get really correct. Have a set of small files on hand and a pin vice for small drill bits to open out the holes for axles, handles and other fittings. I enjoy the challenge of building these. Don't be afraid of "improving" it to suit your eye.

Jacques, I like your models, but I really like that auto garage and dealership....
Could you mention again, where that building came from. Did you say that it is made of cardboard. Please repeat the details. I don't have them, or can't find them. Thank you.
