Pics-- Matchbox 1/43 4x4's
Here are some old Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 4x4's. I forgot the Jeeps so will post them another time.
The 3 Broncos have some detailing done. The white one was another version (fishing) that was modified. The red one is the Ford 100th version and is a 68 rather than a 66 like the other two. It had a cheap plastic chassis so I put one from the early versions on it as they had much better detail. The green one is the early stock version.
I don't believe I did any detailing to the other 4.
I've also modified a few others and will post later.

I think these were all really well done and still display very well. I used to sell them so have quite a few still packed away.

I have the Dodge in green/black and the standard Scout. Compare the Landie to this.

This is a Corgi Vanguards model, representing the third LR built and the first registered for road use.
I have been collecting a few of the Matchbox 1/43s. They seem to be a good value for their cost. Does anyone know if they are still going in the UK? They're not around the USA any more.
While I have several of these 1990s models, Matchbox varies fairly often from 1:43. Sometimes it seems that chose the final size to fit the packaging.
Don, these were part of Matchbox Collectibles and they have been gone for > 15 years.
Thanks Karl, I figured they have been gone about that long. But still I find them a good buy and reasonably priced where I find them. When I find them. And as is said sometimes the scale is to fit the box. So often true.
