Pics. New colour for Matrix's Cadillac limo 1970.
A black dress !. Of course, very elegant, classic.
It looks like this new version have a vinyl roof simulation. See the chrome adhesive around the rear pillars-roof-trunk junction. Not that common in 1970, so cool option on the model !
Hard to read if the decal on the rear pillar says "fleetwood" but this decal could be downsized a bit more. Other details need a bit of attention too, especially with their position. Side mirrors are not closer enough to the A pillars. The script "fleetwood" on the left side of the trunk must go, no such scripts there for these limousines in 1970. And the emblem on the rear fender should be pushed way closer to the rear bumper.
But of course, this is a proto, so...
A few minor and very easily fixable details that Matrix could change before final release.
I looove it !. Trying to avoid doublons in my collection... but I think it's gonna be hard this time !. ๐

No "Fleetwood" script on trunk side, but in the right side of the bumper.

That will make a nice Derham conversion!
Looks great. I always thought the 1970 Cadillacs were beautifully designed.
Great model, but does anyone else think this piece looks slightly underscale?
The same goes for the 1970 Cadillac convertible. These two pieces seem a little too small when displayed along with other period subjects from various manufacturers.
from a time when limos were elegant and a little mysterious...
Not like the decadent ones of the present times?.
Agreed. Today's "stretch" limos seem styled for the acne set, not the sucessful exec.
Mark, have you seen this displayed next to another 1:43 model?
It seems narrow next to GLM's '72 limo, and Neo's '72 sedan.
These subjects all shared an 80" overall width which was the max allowable by law. Even non-luxe 'full sized' cars [such as Plymouth etc] went for that enormous max width.
Another model which seems under-width is GLM's elegant 1962 Cadillac limousine
Mark, you mean NEO's '72 coupe. ๐
I understand perfectly what you mean with the size cause placed next to the 1972 limousine by GLM, the 70 limo is definitely narrower, you're right.
Maybe GLM limos are a bit too big ?.
Only measurements and conversions could tell.
Pic: So true with the possible exception of the Cadillac XTS 6 door by Federal.

I would love to have a small fleet, say 2 or 3 of these in 1:43.
