PICS: News from Route66ModelCarStore.com - new Conquest 47 Chevy Woody now available in 3 colors...

Per Curtis' note in post #15702 below, the '47 Chevy woody wagon is now available in your choice of maroon, beige or green.

Oh, which color to choose?

PICS: Very nice Conquest model in 1:43. Once again for comparison, the 1:1 scale version.

Conquest did a good job on the sun visor. Beautiful color choices. I wonder about the two piece window in the model vs. the one piece glass on the car pictured. Would anybody know?

David, your pictures are of a 1948, the model is a 1947.

Easy way to tell is the T-shaped piece in the middle of the 1948's grille.

There ya go. Thanks, Dick. As always, you are a wealth of helpful information.

Looking now at the grille, there is a difference between the '47 and '48.

David, my first car (in 1951) was a 1947 Fleetline four-door.

When I had my inevitable front end collision, mangling the grille, the replacement had a hole drilled in it so the T could be mounted so the part could utilized for either year.
I asked Buz about a '47 Fleetline 4-door. He was rather lukewarm to the idea but who knows, with a ground swell of support we could have another Dick Browne Edition to go with the Black '60 Valiant.

That would be cool, Dick. How about approaching the folks at Brooklin for one?

I had asked them to do the wagon before Buz announced his.

Brooklin tries not to duplicate what others have done or are doing.

This attitude is unlike that of a few other manufacturers.
