Pics of GLM 1976 Lincoln Town Car
After quite the wait, this gem arrived yesterday. I think it is the best in the genre of resin models with photo etched pieces I have seen. The shape is dead on with no droopy back end as we have seen on some Neo and Premium X models. No pieces are missing, none are buckled, everything fits as it should. It may be a different manufacturer for GLM as the case and packaging are different and significantly smaller. And the color is a nice change to the bland shades we usually see on cars like this. The vinyl top even matches as it should. Great job, GLM!

Nice, but is it me or are the bumpers too "thick"??
Possibly the bumpers. Unless it's a camera angle or something that makes them "appear" this way, the bumpers look to "thick" By thick I mean that the total height of the chrome bumpers is too tall. Too much height in them, as in the distances from the bottom of the bumper to the top of the bumper. Perhaps in person they look correct, but based most of the pictures of this model they look out of scale to me and too "big" or "thick"

Good observation. I think it is the flash pics.
I hope others will get this model and give opinions as well. I see what you are saying, but looking at it in person is different than seeing pics from an old camera.

I agree Steve, this would be an awesome....
and I mean, AWESOME model in 1:18! I collected 1:18 for awhile but found I soon ran out of display space. I still hold on to four of those models, to this day, even though only one is "out in the open" to this day. The others, I can't seem to part with. There are even a few cars that have been produced in your scale of choice that have not been produced in our desired scale. It is good to know that there are other scale enthusiasts watching our posts!

I thought the same think and the grill looks a bit small.
Maybe it's because of the thick bumpers. LOL.

Here are a few pics of an identical real car.
Good points raised about the bumpers and grille. I have always preferred the front ensemble of later cars like 1978 and 1979 so I never studied these much.

Well, since I am a Jeep fanatic...
I have two of these a '42 MB and a 2006 Rubicon, which is the exact same color as my last 1:1 in Khaki tan. Plus I have two woody wagons, one a 4'48 Chevrolet Fleetmaster and a '49 Ford Ranch. But, one of my favorites is that of a 20-something Star Roadster, one I'd like to see in 1:43. I forgot, I also have two other Jeeps, the Hurricane Sport (concept) and the original Unlimited 4dr (lso a concept). And I wouldn't mind seeing a few mid-2000's Jeep Wranglers, either. In 1:43.
