PICS - One more Lincoln...

I ran across this one on eBay, the price was great, and since this 1:1 has always intrigued me. Rented a couple of them over the years. Nice riding car.

But what about a Lincoln that makes your heart go "pitty pat"? (pic)

(But I like yours too. Welcome aboard, John.)

This big comfortable cruiser and David's two additions are ALL wonderful Lincoln's in their own way ! And the "new" Lincoln Motor Car Company should remenber the tremendous styling and smooth V-8 and V-12 power that made then such a fine luxury car.

The '39 and the '56 Lincoln's are classics, and even though Lincoln essentially ignored the big Town Car in recent decades without doing much in the way of fresh styling and engineering updates to the terrific V-8/RWD classic layout used by nearly all of great luxury cars (then and now) it still managed to sell.

Now Lincoln needs to design and market it's replacement : a true full-size V-8 rear-drive Lincoln automobile that is the standard-bearer for the marque.

The "New" Lincoln

Had to laugh when they listed push-button drive as a wonderful new feature. No mention it was on mid-'50s Chrysler cars as well as the Edsel.

Also pushbutton transmissions of the 50's could be found on Packards and, I think, at least one Rambler. My '56 Plymouth had them and I liked them. My son rode in a car seat hanging on the central seatback in the front of the car, and he could reach and grap the shift lever, but not in the Plymouth. My, how times have changed.

Doug, I found it on eBay. The guys site was...

thecarman2010. They are actually a little pricey at about $75 for buy-it-now. But bid on an auction for half that. I had to be patient. It comes in Black & Silver too. I liked the White the best. Good luck.

I like the white one too. You need to line up the Neo 77 and 86 TC's with this one. 3 consecutive body styles. Just need to get the 97 coming out.

Do you happen to recall which mag or which Lincoln model?
