Pics: Restoration of Ford Thunderbird: Primed and ready for color coat.

Two coats of automobile primer revealed that car is ready for its color coat resembling as close as possible Sunset Coral. That should be applied later today.

Looking forward to pics with the coral paint. Should look great in that color.

Pics: First coat of Sunset Coral

First coat has been sprayed. Will need second coat with light sanding in between but this gives an idea of the color. There is a 48 hour wait between coats if second coat is not applied within 2 hours.

I just surprised myself by thinking, "I like that." Maybe I'm remembering the mid-fifties and the combination of charcoal black with pink, as in socks and that rarely worn knit tie. Hmmm....
