PICS - The elegant Marmon Sixteen Coupé by Brooklin and others.
I have been closely following Master Jean B's latest recreation of the "elegant Marmon Sixteen Coup? made by Brooklin" on another forum. ( http://www.scale143.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11335)
Well I have one on display so I went downstairs to visit it, and found it hanging out on the shelf with other cars of the era.

It is a rather nice model as delivered, in fact, it was one of the few Brooklins that I did not feel the need to "improve".
Jean on the other hand has a different focus much to my delight and I am looking forward to his finishing the latest masterpiece. BTW - His rebuilding and correcting of white metal models is truly extrodinary.

The other Brooklins on the shelf were modified with a bit of paint and foil which make them more pleasing to me,
and so I thought I would show a few to you.

This Studebaker was detailed with the dark green stripes which reference photos show, plus a few other things including
the dash and instrument guages.

Two Buicks on the front row also caught my eye. Aircraft in the display recognizes the evolution of aeroplane design that
mirrors auto evolution of the same era or vice versa.

This 1934 Phaeton had it's top and side mount tire covers repainted. The very light tan is an improvement over the dull grey as delivered, to my eye at least.

Also detailed the dash and maybe changed the seat color, but cannot remember now.

What a handsome car.

The other 1934 Buick is a coupe. Used BMF to create the chrome ring on trunk spare and along the bottom of the running boards.

Painting the solid chrome valleys on the hood vents the body color allowed the chrome vents to stand proud made the coupe and also the Phaeton much more realistic and satisfactory.

Not a Brooklin and with no mods is this Minimarque 43 Tom Mix Cord, which is just a stunner.

Loving those lights.

I hope you enjoyed my display shelf and Brooklin modifications.
Cheers and Happy Collecting,

Excellent collection and display Steven.
Thanks for sharing, Steven. Your work is great, and your collection is most impressive.
Impressive collection. I have and love the Marmon as well.
You did an amazing job with Buick Convertible Sedan, another favorite model of mine. Unfortunately I do not have the skill required to do many modifications, however I did add whitewalls.
Thank-you very much for showing your collection. I just love to see what other members collect.

Steve, gorgeous display. I really like your improvements to the Buick phaeton.
I'm always amazed by you skilled and talented enthusiasts!
I just don't have the touch. Even simple gluing jobs turn into hilarious (?) Laurel-and-Hardy-type situations for me. Whoops! Wooah! Too much goop! Usually the piece ends up neatly and deftly glued to my finger. And the finger is glued to my head.
Great pics Steven. I enjoyed playing with Marmons (PICS)

Just a few that I had some fun with.
Classy Marmons
Beautiful repaints really make the Brooklin Marmon snap. I have always liked that model but never felt the white color showed the car at its best.
They are all fantastic.

Thank you for your kind comments Frank, David, John, Randall, and Scott; and Thanks for looking.
John, you do such great recreations of wonderful variety. Thank you for posting these. Inspiring.
Excellent, all of them but I particularly liked what you did with the Studebaker !.
Thanks Steven! Much appreciated. I'll look out some Studebakers if you like.
Thanks John but at this point I have to start downsizing and eventually selling off all my little treasures. Hopefully I will be able to relocate them all to appreciative homes before I'm off to a forever place. ๐
Cheers,
Steve
Thank you Kenneth, glad you liked it.
