Pics -- Western Models 1957 Dodge

I recently received the 1957 Dodge from Route 66 Model Car Store. This 1/43 is a beautifully finished model. I think that Buz took the level of detail up a few notches from his previously releases. The model's interior is particularly impressive. If you haven't yet given Buz's Western reissues a try, I suggest you make this your first Western reissue purchase.

The original still looks pretty good...

...considering they sold for around $149. At $225 I would expect the reissues to be superior.

I prefer the two toning on the WMCE much more than the two toning on the original Western Models Dodges. I looked for the HT but the combination of color is not enought attractive for me than the convertible. It is always a difficult decision to get one now or wait for perhaps a better color later. You see for example the 1957 Pontiac will be now offered in Starlight Yellow and I like more this color than Carib Coral or Sage Blue. I'd like two tone blue for the Dodge. Your convertible Dodge is sharp. Thanks, for the pictures, Dillon.

Bob, my camera skills are insufficient to capture how nice the reissue is...

I have an original issue WES Dodge hardtop and my new convertible blows it away. The new car has much more vibrant paint, more chrome details, clearer & more realistic headlamps, and my favorite part, the paint color around the wheel covers. The overall effect is a car that is much nicer and more realistic looking than the original WES '57 Dodge.

Looks good Dillon and definitely an improvement over the older WM.
