Placing figures with 1:43 models (PICs)

I just placed an order for some more ARTTISTA figures, and I thought some might like to see the idea in action. I will start with a Chevy that I placed here just a couple of days ago, and then add whatever I happen to come up with.

Beautiful scenes, David! #2: beautiful Packard admired by Winston Churchill...

with a lot of imagination for Sir W. of course.

Nice. Are these white metal, plastic, prepainted?

Omen miniatures make some nice ones as well, white metal, unpainted or painted but probably more expensive.

John, I have a lot of figures from a lot of different sources. My favorites are

Preiser (mostly plastic), Arttista (metal), Woodland Scenics (plastic), Model Power (plastic), Omen (metal), Bachmann (mixed), K-Line, plus I confess that I find job lots of figures on eBay. Preiser and Arttista seem to have the details that I enjoy, but some of the others are at times as good and once in a while even better. I also like the Corgi figures, but they tend to be larger than 1:43. I also prefer the unpainted versions to fill up my "spare" time. Cost is always a bit of an issue, and some of the better, more detailed, and beautifully painted pieces are just out of my financial comfort zone.

Frank, who made that model I can't identify? Would certainly look nice if I could fit it into one of my diaramas! Don't recall having seen a model like that before!

John and David, I do diarama pictures with old American cars myself, and if you want any suggestion as how to do better ones, I buy all my figures unpainted and attempt to paint them according to how people dressed when such cars were running, which provides me even more satisfaction!

David, I even have a further suggestion: if you send me your postal address, I can even send you a few prints, which will even be easier. Don't know how to do it on Internet!
