- It’s good that Brooklin has done some of those bread and butter ordinary cars as not all we’re fancy versions. This ‘56 Plymouth Plaza one of my favorites.

A favorite of mine for the reasons you stated David. Love these side by side comparisons with the 1/1.

Me too; I love this plain jane.
I have this one too and like it very much. It's available brand-new at a very good price from Diecast Direct.

David, you have an absolutely amazing ability to find and post pictures of the real cars for various models even down to the actual color!

Nothing new, I'm sure, but as I compared the 1:1 to Brooklin's fine model, I noticed that the Brooklin had Plymouth's V8, while the 1:1 still had the six. How could I tell?
Sure, just look at the center of the grill's horizontal bar. BRK's has the V; the 1:1 doesn't. That was also true with the '56, on my 2-dr. hardtop. Way back when!
I just remembered that I have two of the Fire Chief version of this model packed away. I had forgotten!

Good eye David!
@d-m-holcombe Brooklin probably just used the grill from the white 1956 Fury that was launched earlier.
And don't forget also the green/black French Dinky of the 1956 Plymouth hardtop.

John; You just reminded me that, packed away, I have the French Dinky Plymouth you mention in green/black, red/grey and 2-tone brown....a pair of each. I plan to check them out again very soon as I am moving residence and will be unboxing much of my long packed away collection. It should be very enjoyable.
@jack-dodds And this post and photos reminded me to get another Brooklin Plymouth to make up a two door Suburban wagon. Don't think this has been done before?

I don't think it has been done before and it would be quite a project. Would you use the BRK '55 Plymouth wagon for the donor roof and tailgate? I suppose some individual may have done it in the past but I don't recall seeing one.
@jack-dodds No, rear roof and tailgate will be constructed from scratch as I have done on dozens of wagons before. Shouldn't be hard to do, side moldings, door joints, all remain the same.
