Very nice paint job on this Cadillac David. I also enjoyed the discussion about scale and enjoyed your comparative images with the Packard along with John's analysis. 

I had heard years ago that most of the American cars in the series were approx. 1/50s scale, certainly smaller than 1/43. When these pewter models were created, exact scale was not as much of a concern as it is today.

@john-quilter   Thanks, John.   I based my conclusions on the small driver and yet he crowds at least half of the front seat.  Before assembly, the rear seat would not hold two of my 1:43 seated figures.  I agree with your "a bit undersized" statement.  I still think it's a pretty good representation.
