Today we look at AUTOart No. 67072, labeled as a 1970 Porsche 917 from the Daytona 24 hour race. However, AA got it wrong. based on the rear center winglet and the position of the white roundel at the right rear, I've identified this car as the Porsche 917K that placed 2nd at Watkins Glen in 1970, Chassis 917-014, entered by J. W. Automotive and driven by Jo Siffert and Brian Redman. Overall a nice model with AA's signature poseable front wheels, but I feel the roof is a bit flat when compared to 917s made by Spark and Minichamps.
