The 1962s had clean and elegant styling and is a favorite of many Cadillac fans. GLM/ Stamp has made several body styles, starting with the 75 limo as one of their first subjects. Why not one more? I sure wish they would also make the '62 Fleetwood 60 Special. Besides there are few "pillared" formal sedans being modeled, and this alone would add some mix to a 1:43 collection.
GLM started out with formal limousines, and their first non-limo was the enormous 1975 Lincoln Town Car and Coupe, both spectacularly well researched, detailed, and assembled. [These almost made me forget how clumsy they were even for a passenger. Those huge Nixon-era bumpers really helped consumers save real money from minor bumps, but generated all that bulky baroque styling to carry them. Some of the homeliest subjects can make the most beautiful models if executed as well as these. Pix to follow in another post.]
Back to a 1962 Fleetwood: Anyone else have an interest, or better yet, have someone's ear at GLM?
I wonder if any one will do a 1961-63 Park Avenue with the shorter rear deck?
