Don't feel bad. This question was posed to Forum 43 awhile back and the results were inconclusive.

John, many thanks for the information you have got together!
I understand it is inconclusive, but it at least gives me a handle on some of the bus models I might use provided I can find one!
Seeing that Art Arfons built a Land Speed Record car from what he had lying around and a J79 jet engine he picked up for a few hundred dollars in Miami, I am not surprised that the identification of the bus was difficult to find as I am actually asuming Mr. Arfons made some changes himself!
If I can find a reasonably close model, then I can modify to get me a Green Monster transporter. For bringing that somewhat closer I want to thank you!
If and when I get any further, I will post pictures on the board.
