Glad you enjoyed reading this Jeff. I have one R-R ....

and I agree it is an impressive model. My one is the two-tone green version.

The R-R models from Rex Toys are hard to find in the UK.

Cheers Chris

Chris - I believe Sun Star themselves revitalized the Vitesse name

I also think Ixo acquired the other part of the company, based on a lot of very similar initial offerings (Jag D types, Rondeaus, etc.) Having said this, I'm not 100% sure about the Ixo deal - if they did, they reworked things a bit. I have both a Quartzo (Vitesse) Aston DBR1 and an Ixo version. One is slightly shorter than the other and there are some minute differences.

This is the sad thing about Chinese production - who has a name of anyone who can sort through the history of the various ranges produced there? Maybe an Asian Mike and Sue Richardson will emerge someday...

Thanks for this extra information Harv and .......

I expect when that person does come forward with their Chinese production
research their findings may result in that there were only 3-6 main
manufacturers!

After accumulating a number of different made in China models I am beginning
to see production similarities within ranges. But is is any different to some of the
made in England white metal model ranges?

Cheers Chris

I have a bit Rextoys like the...

35 Ford taxi, police, army, navy, ambulance and panel trucks. Some Caddys and Packards. The Packards are the best looking.
