Picked up the Rextoy 1935 Ford for $10 on Ebay recently. Decided to strip and repaint into a mild custom street rod. Color is metallic root beer. Added new Ansen wheels and tires only. I'm really impressed with these Rextoy models (diecast I believe) and the value that they provide. Well made models and good proportions. Picture below.
That 1935 Rextoys 1/43 Ford diecast replica looks great and also really cool as this mild custom. I have Rextoys 4-door 1935 Detroit fire department red chiefs diecast automobile and it is a favorite. These are solid, well-done models and usually at an excellent price !
Great work, Ken - I wish I had your painting skills...
I totally agree with Mike about Rextoys Ford (and Packard) models
Some years ago I enhanced some Rex Ford station wagons

@ralf. Very nice job on the wagons. I'm must track down one of these. Nothing special about my painting skills. I have found by trial and error that the proper paint and thinner (I like the Mr Color line of thinners) through an air brush with a correct size nozzle will give a great paint job.
I miss that the Rex Toy range did not continue, they had some great plans. But I took a couple extra '35 Fords and did a Tudor and a phaeton.

Thanks to everyone for posting these. The Rextoys are marvelous! Ken, your custom touches are just right! Ralk, your enhancements of those woodies is fantastic! John & Pascal - excellent!
On the day I read this I saw a video from Julie Evans (formerly a BRK craftswoman) who is also a hot rodder. She posted on FB a shot through her 1:1 1935 Ford's side window looking toward Stonehenge in the distance. Cool!
