I remember seeing a post with replies about shipping time from Europe to the US.  I just received a package from Denmark to my home in the suburbs of Chicago.  It was shipped on April 13, arriving on May 4.  If you are wondering, it was not a model car, but a special order of Legos - similar size package.

Incredible. I received a package from the UK last week. It took two days. Same size package from Canada...18 days.

Shipping is very erratic all over. I've had packages from the UK arrive in a few days, while others take weeks. Anything from Canada always seems to take two weeks or longer. The Russian Federation and France are also very lengthy. Even here is the US, local packages and the mid-west arrive pretty quick, but anything from California takes longer than a week.

UPS is usually the quickest in the US, Fed-Ex is next, but are inconsistent-I've had packages scheduled to be delivered one day, and then rescheduled for a day or two later all the time. USPS is always inconsistent, they seem to arrive whenever they feel like it, and if watch the tracking the voyage doesn't always seem to make sense.

For anything overseas, DHS is by far the fastest. Brooklin's packages always arrive in just a few days.

I used to live in Chicago and lived in Denmark as a kid for many summers, by coincidence.  Do you need any old Lego sets? 🙄  To keep this 1/43, here is an old plastic Lego in 1/43rd-ish scale.  A Chevrolet truck?

At the height of the pandemic I had some items arriving two months later. After things calmed down I am receiving most packages after one or two weeks. The biggest delay is in Customs. I have one item being sent from Portugal arrived in Miami after 30 days, still waiting for delivery. This one was with low shipping so either it came by boat or some sort of volume arrangement by air.
 I think many Ebay sellers are taking the brunt of criticism for something they have no control over, long shipping times. I suppose that's why shipping charges have spiked, sellers send things first class and traceable. Not long ago I could get packages sent from the UK for under 8 pounds or 10 euros for much of Europe, now many are asking $30 and higher for postage for a single model. Soon it may be cheaper to fly there to pick up your stuff personally.

@karl

Thanks for your offer of old Lego sets.  For now, I will take a pass.

@jkuvakas But didn't you pay extra for express mail John? (I'm guessing you are referring to the ElMo GSX).

@mg-harv, no I paid extra to have my model sent directly from the factory just as they were packaging them to go to the BCC.
