My first Brooklin was the Pierce Arrow in blue and grey with no window glass delivered to me at the Canadian Toy Collectors Society meeting in Toronto, with the paint still smelling. John Hall had just made a few and charged me $14 for mine. I think it was in Sept. 1973 but that may be incorrect as some say he started modelling in early 1974. It was far cruder and heavier than the later version although it was supposed to be resin. I sold it in the early 1990s to an American for $600 and still regret it.

I did get the later and much improved #1 shown above, made in Canada. Picture of my first Brooklin is thanks to the Brooklin website.

@david-green

Do you have any idea what that early John Hall model is worth today?

I sold the one I bought from John Hall, a windowless silver-blue version. Not missing it. Today I am happy with the Altaya version.
