Spark Models 1966 Indy 500 winner photos and comments
Another little jewel from Spark Models-item#43IN66 Lola T90 driven to victory by Graham Hill 1966 Indy 500. Notable details include driver figure with clear goggle lens and decal rim/strap around helmet, shift lever,photoetched steering wheel spokes. What impresses me the most for a model at this price point is rear suspension details: instead of a metal axle to hold the wheels from side to side Spark has crafted miniature halfshafts, coil over shocks, brake calipers on all fours, and to 'ice' the cake a Mallory ignition decal on the spark box behind the drivers head. An irresistible model for me and reason enough to expand my 1:43 collection for Spark's Indycar series models-now to figure out where to add display space LOL!!!

I did indeed! This one was a surprise because I had not heard it had actually been released.
This is a new Indy series - the boxes have a line of bricks printed on them.
Nice pics David - saves me the trouble of taking them!

Got to have this one
I was at the race in 1966 -- the only race I've ever attended. This will pair up well with the 1966 Mercury Cyclone Pace car already in my collection!
