Storage tip for boxes.

I recently made a purchase where the model was stored in a very musty area. I'm currently trying to get the smell out the car and the box.
Searching the internet, I found a tip to make your own silica storage packs at a greatly reduced price.
Walmart sells 4 Lb.bags of Silica sand cat litter under the name 'Mimi Cat Litter' for $5.00. You can also buy a box of try on foot socks, the kind shoe stores provide. I bought a box of a hundred sox on Ebay. I put a couple of tablespoons of silica sand in the sock, tie it up like a balloon and throw in a couple when I need to store my models and/or boxes. That litter goes a long way, I bought two bags and only used half a bag so far.

Also you can make some great gifts of cat litter for people who just "don't get the message" out of what is left of it. For folks who can't get a hint. Maybe they still won't. We'll see. Some of you have caught on. Some may never. Sad.

Condescending and rude, but some people just don't get it.
