Lloyd, thanks for the pix! I was in car crazy Orange County last month and at one courtesy stop a BMW bubble car, VW surfer bus, and 48 Plymouth woodie waited their turn. I really felt that summer was on its way!

How do you (and others) feel about custom Caddies and the like? I have to admit to some hesitation about taking a '49 sedanet, say, and making it into a lowrider with removal of chrome parts etc. I wouldn't take my paints and brush to change a Monet.

Cadillac Customs.

If it was the Boyd Coddington Cadzilla I could live with the changes.

My feelings on customs (plus pic!)

If they take a car in poor shape, or even well worn, fine. What would grip me is taking a 95% original and chopping it up. I still cringe when I see an old muscle car crashed to make a movie. BTW, here's a Caddy I saw just today (near Natural Bridge, VA)!

Randall - The owners had the photo record of the car, which was found in an old barn, and there really was not much left except the body (just barely), so in this case, they made it a work of art. However, I am not too much into these type of customs, but I would own ZZ Top's car (which I have seen on the 405 and where it currently resides at the Peterson Auto Museum.

The Clipper made it all worthwhile! And can you imagine polishing all the chrome on the Olds? Whew

A Tale of Two Buicks

Which one is for you?
My '57 Roadmaster, all original...

Or this fine '57 Special, slightly "modified" for Michigan's U.P. winter duty.

The debates RAGES over on the AACA Forum, with no sign of ever letting up!

One can only speculate what the rifle on the truck is used for!

Brontosaurus hunting at Jurassic Park perchance?

For 1955 Clipper was made into a separate car line, and was not a part of the Packard line.

Something that Packard should have done after WWII.
