As this was my very 1st show, I was thrilled by the entire experience. Did I buy a few models, most certainly, but seriously, just a few, LOL! Thankfully I drive a fairly good size SUV with a very empty cargo area. At least for the trip to the show. My return home, well...

But for me that wasn't the best part of the weekend. Spending time with the folks that share my passion was priceless. From the Packard Museum to the Air Force Museum and the opportunity to view and purchase models from the Wayne Moyer collection along with a bunch of people that know how all that feels was what did it for me. The start of the weekend in Dayton was wonderful.

It only got better from there. The fellowship that we shared, the meeting of so many guys on Sunday that I've chatted with on the Forum for years was the highlight of the entire weekend. It was a real treat to put faces with names and connect with so many.

Thanks to John Kuvakas for the planning and organization of this weekend. While it may not have all played out as expected, it was still, a perfect weekend for me.

John, it was nice to finally meet you. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the Air Force Museum. I have been there several times, and it keeps getting bigger and better.

I am glad the weekend and the Countryside Show were such a great success ! I wish I could have been there this time to say hello and see the show, but I will hope to be there at the next one coming up.

John neglected to mention that he was a huge help in the Forum 43 booth. We had a great group of folks behind the tables; John Styles, Randy Shultz, Rob & Julie Morrison, Tom Kinney, and, Mr. Merritt himself.

@frank

It was a great pleasure to meet both you and your wife. It's always a treat to meet fellow collectors and the fact that your wife enjoys the hobby with you is awesome.
