As a supplement to the excellent video from Randy Rusk and John Kuvakas showing the RV/MH models on display, here is a set of the real stuff (1:1 scale) showing a brief history of this industry. I decided to include these pictures in this section, rather than the Lounge section, to keep all the weekend stuff in one place. I hope you enjoy the photos.

The first photo is front of building.

Lets start with the oldest RV/MH on display.  It did not have a Motor, but definitely needed horsepower.  The use of word "Recreational" might be debatable.

1929 Covered Wagon.  This was the first production travel trailer, made by the Covered Wagon Trailer Co.

1958 Airstream Trailers.  The first is a 22 ft long trailer.  The second, named Der Kleine Prinz (The Little Prince) is smallest Airstream.

1988 Star Streak II.  This is my favorite.  It is the second of two custom designed trailers. It uses a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado chassis and a 1976 Olds Toronado 455 cu. in. engine.  It is 270 inches long.

The Furion, definitely modern, probably expensive.

Thanks for sharing this Ed. For those of us who cannot readily get over to the States to see these museums, photographs like yours are very useful.

@randyrusk

I found the RV/MH Hall of Fame a very interesting place, both your models and the real RV and MH vehicles and trailers. I am glad it was included as part of our “model car weekend”.
