Kelly and I hosted the Brooklin/NB Center booth at this councours in Malvern, PA, just south of Philadelphia. There were several thousand folks there, many of whom got their first look at Brooklin models including more than a few young future collectors to all of whom Kelly does such a great job of explaining the hobby. This is a realtively new area for our hobby, particularly for Brooklin. But the reaction of the crowd was overwhelmingly positive while there was literally no resitance to the prices, particulary for the V16 Cadillac engine, several of which were sold to...owners of Cadillac V16s. More than ever, I'm convinced wwe're just scratching the surface of brining potential new collectors into 1/43 as we move from a strictly 1/43 focus to anyone and everyone that loves automobiles and automobilia.
There are a lot of pics here. Kelly is an amazing photographer. I thought our Forum43 folks would enjoy seeing how and where they were repesented this weekend.

An excellent group of photos and some beautiful cars. I love the Marmon, so rarely seen. Looks like you and Kelly had a great time.

What a diverse collection of cars...fantastic! Thanks John and Kelly.
@jcarnutz, we did! We met a lot of people and had the chance to see all those amazing cars. Did you see the Lavender Gullwing? I spoke with the owner. It's a factory color! who knew!!
Many of the owners stopped by the booth to chat and tell us about their cars and the models they collect. Almost all of them have, at least, some models. Many have huge collections and can speak knowledgeably about makes, models, makers, etc.. It rained on Sunday, but that just drove everyone into the vendor's tent. It was an awesome weekend and a reminder to Kelly and me of how much we enjoy the shows and meeting folks who love cars and models.

@jkuvakas John; The Merc Gullwing was my favorite of the bunch shown. The color is absolutely beautiful; I've never seen one in that shade before.
JK, you’re right, Kelly is a splendid photographer. Looks like a wonderful time for all.
John and Kelly, we’ll done. The photos were great, encourages me to buy more models.

John, thanks for sharing. Yes indeed, an exciting event for sure. Your line, "...there was literally no resistance to the prices..." made me chuckle. Among that crowd, I'm quite certain there wouldn't be. 😉
And at another cars show this passed weekend, The Portland All British Field Meet at the Portland International Raceway I displayed my 1969 Austin America and on a nearby table, kindly provided by the organizers, a selection of 12 of the badge engineered variants in 43rd scale (Riley 1300, Wolseley 1100, Austin 1100, Morris 1100, MG 1100 and Vanden Plas 1100), etc. plus a selection of 15 Triumphs since that was the featured marque this year. Two were Lansdownes, a Triumph Renown and a Triumph Gloria. And on a smaller display, 43rd scale replicas of all my 1:1 cars since I can only drive one to the show per year! Sorry, forgot to take photos. The model collection got plenty of comments, but I had to explain they were from my personal collection and not for sale!

The picture of the black 1941 Cadillac sedan looks like "the duchess" owned by Steve Plunkett. In fact ,the man standing next to John at the table looks a lot like Steve Plunkett .Perhaps?? Steve has one of the most extensive collection of Cadillacs in North America. I'm sure he would be 1st in line to purchase the Brooklin V16 engine.
@kenspear, you're correct. Steve bought one of the V16s. He's a really great guy and spent some time showing me the "Duchess." What an amazing car!!

Rand here in Chicago. Love the photos but have a complaint. Every time I see great photos on this site, I know some of the cars but not all. So in the future, PLEASE add a caption of what I am looking at and Number the photos so I can ask a intelligent question about the photo. Thanks guys.
Thanks for sharing John. Nice variety which Kelly captured beautifully. I loved the 59 Cadillac Cyclone show car as I have a 1/43 scale of that car by MiniChamps. The Cream Soda Hooch made me thirsty.
