Work in progress. Just about ready for primer. Final color yet to be determined. Any suggestions on the color?? Interior yet to be detailed. Nash had great success with their Metropolitan convertible ,however, the 1954 Nash Ambassador was only offered in a 2 dr htp and 4 dr sedan. A shame that a convertible was never made. I will post more photos when the car is completed. Thanks for looking.

In 1954 Nash Ambassador offered two colors that IMO would look great on your very cool model; these are Parisian blue and Malibu Ivory. Light colors seem to suit convertibles well and of course are different from the metallic maroon or that ghastly yellow Brooklin used. IMO the Parisian blue with tan or dark blue interior and Malibu Ivory with tan or burgundy interior would look great. The old reliable basic red would look fine on it as well, but of course that color is pretty common on most convertibles. I hope this helps a bit.
Thanks everyone for your input. Jack, I agree that light colours look best on convertibles. Also, a lot of pastel shades were available on cars of this period. Since this model can be considered a concept of prototype, I am prepared to deviate from the colour chart of the '54 Ambassador. I do like the Parisian Blue however . I am also considering a turquoise shade that I have noticed (google images) to be very common on Ambassadors of this period. This colour also appeared on the Nash Metropolitan of this period.
Ken, I like these "should have beens." And I think your Nash is definitely one of those. As for colors, in the mid-50's there just weren't any limits. Well, metallics were still sort of risky. How about a pink body with a black interior? I look forward to your finished results. David
