Early on, Chevrolet never considered the Corvete as anything more than a roadster. With the idea of expanding the Corvette lineup, they built this fastback model for the 1954 Motorama expo. Although the small block 265 V8 wasn't ready yet, the car had only the 6 cylinder "Blue Flame" in it. They gave this Ruby Red fastback a European look. The unique "afterburner" cove in the rear and the retained small tail fins kept the 'aerospace theme' of the roadster. After Chevrolet only managed to sell 300 of their Polo White roadsters, they decided to shelve this fastback coupe.
Another one that should have been made. That damned business case aspect getting in the way again! Lol.
I would call that a Sedanette-Vette
Who makes this model?
@john-sharisky I have a Matrix version in Seafoam Green. This model came out in 2014. The maroon might be a Matrix reissue.

I got this model around the same time as yours. The Seafoam Green finish was a later paint scheme.
