AutoCult has released a beautiful model of the 1950 BRM P15. Its supercharged V16 engine was revolutionary, but unreliability of the engine and other components plagued its Formula 1 appearances. The car was finally sorted out by 1953 but by then it was relegated to non-championship races. A program is underway to create three of the P15s as continuation cars. The engine can be heard here, and note the glow on the exhaust headers!

This car had a fantastic sound. I saw it racing in the early 1950s (Aintree?) and was impressed but don’t remember how well it did. I do have the SMTS version. AutoCult looks to have made a nice model.
