The 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 "Disco Volante" was designed and built along with Touring coachworks for sport class racing. Of the 3 spyders built in 1952, this one was converted to a coupe. In 1953, a couple more were built and one was powered by a 3.5 liter six from their 6C 3000CM race car and was capable of 144 mph ( although you expect it to go airborne well before that top end). The coupe still exists today residing in the Alfa Romeo Museum.
