That's a spectacular model. Great review, John.
I saw the model at the Chicago show in October, and as John says, it is a beautiful model.

A fine review of this terrific Pontiac Torpedo, John. A really excellent car in 1/43 !
John, thanks for explaining the NB Center and their relationship to Brooklin. It's refreshing (and much appreciated by me!) to see "regular cars" treated to this level of respect. Obviously, these restorations aren't for everyone but I'm grateful they're deemed necessary by the select few who can make it happen. It's a beautiful model; one of Brooklin's best.
As I watched John's good introduction of NB Center/ BRK's 1946 Pontiac Torpedo, I turned to an old favorite, BRK 50, up in a display case. So I brought it down for a couple of snaps.
I'm glad John reminded us that Pontiac shared its body with Chevy, as did Oldsmobile. One more question: Is my model an error? Or did BRK use this license plate arrangement on all these?
This is a very nice model I will for sure order but the foggy windows from the vacuum process is a disappointment.
@nickies, they're not as bad as the photos look. The camera never knows where to focus when it tries to aim through one of those small windows.

Very cool new display case design! Cars pretty good too! 😆 😎
@d-m-holcombe Three on ebay right now have the bumpers reversed, so your bumpers are on backwards!! The license plate needs to go on the front!
@jkuvakas This is not your camera but this is a fact the rendering of windows is always foggy on Brooklin models and they don't fit as well as on resin model manufacturers.
The latest I have is the NBCC 1940 Lincoln Zephyr and this is the same foggy issue. I suspect this is either the film thickness they use or their equipment temperature not being set properly because there are also streaks in the film that can be seen in the final product.
An excellent review. I fell in love with this car at the NB Center last year, so an opportunity to own one is top on my list.

Regarding the new display case, my Buick Riviera has that case, and I like it. The car is also nice.
