Today's find, the Greenlight "Sanford & Son" pickup (pic)
Doing a little Christmas shopping, I found this in our local toy store:

Having no child in need, I made the sacrifice and took it home for the collection of the eternal child (that's me). BTW, the local price was quite a bit lower than what I see on the general web sites. Oh, yes, I added the driver.

"Sanford & Son" ran for 6 seasons on television, 1972-1977, and was very popular. It was based on British tv's "Steptoe and Son." The stars were Redd Foxx and Demond Wilson, backed up by a great cast.
Don't fuss at this model's paint, because it's a good replica of the beat-up pickup used on the show. (Besides, to my eye it looks better than some I've applied on my models.)

There's also a weathered gray Forrest Gump version.
