True diecast for 7/2/21

Continuing with Norev and Peugeot from yesterday, here is the Peugeot 404 diesel record car. Peugeot wanted some bragging rights over all those Mercedes-Benz oil burners, so in June of 1965 they took a modified 404 with a swoopy single seat cockpit and set 22 closed-course records ay Monthlery. These inclided records up to 72 hours over the course of its 5000 km run. And in July they returned for an 11,000 km run and 18 more records. The Norev is No. 474442 and is attached to its plinth by some curious star shaped screws with a pin in the center, a new one on me.
