OK, I sometimes like to make some minor modifications to my models, usually this is just a change of tires (wheels one time) minor paint changes and recently a little more with some Buby Collector Classics (photos soon when I am finished with them)
But when I received the Goldvarg Collection 1968 Ford Galaxie models, I heard some differing opinions on Sergio's open headlight doors on the Turquoise version. Well I thought it would be interesting to change that up a bit. Here's what I came up with.
1968 Ford Galaxie 500XL Sportsroof Hardtop
in Gulfstream Aqua
in Tahitian Rose Iridescent
OK, so maybe not big changes. I just bought another pair and switched the front assembly. Now I have one of each. Rare even, 1 of 1. HeHe!

Great comparison John. I've always been afraid to make any modifications to my resin models due to their delicacy. Was it difficult to remove the chrome front end on these? Were they not glued in place?
Yes they were glued. I gently pried them from the body. I did have to file away a little bit of surplus glue, but all in all it went smoothly.

Nice work! I prefer the hideaway headlights.
They look real good. I prefer the hidden lights too.
Fantastic Job John!
Now you have 2 very rare models..... One of ones!
I really liked the Turquoise color, but opted for the other model because of the closed headlights.
John, nicely done. I believe this is the combination that Sergio should have offered with the closed lights and in Gulfstream Aqua.
