Two new Ferraris from LookSmart

The red car is the 1961 Sebring winner, the 250TRI/61 (Chassis 0792TR) of Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien. The blue car was a NART entry at Le Mans in 1962, driven by Fulp and Ryan, until it crashed (Chassis 0794TR, the same chassis that won in 1961)

Both replicas are up to LookSmart's usual attention to detail and finish - I am a big fan of their 1960's Ferraris.

Note the differences between the two. The NART car has a rollbar and a scoop on the nose, while the Sebring car has a bug deflector in front of the windscreen (you might need that in central Florida!) The glass is different too - slightly more cut down on the NART car while the Sebring car mounts a rear view mirror high up.

LookSmart previously issued the '61 Le Mans car - again, Chassis 0794TR and again driven by Hill/Gendebien. Note it has the bug deflector, higher side windows, but no front scoop or roll bar.
Nice Ferraris!
I heard that LookSmart are made by MR at a lower price but same quality. Are they made in China, perhaps? They look as detailed as BBR and MR to me!
Correct Karl - Looksmart are a brand of MR and made in China.

Harv, your excellent photos and primo models illustrate why I have avoided with great difficulty buying 1:43rd international road racing models. I'd be broke if I did. From the early sixties until the Can-Am races of the early seventies, I was an avid follower of Formula One and international road racing. There are so many chassis and body variations compounded by the myriad of livery variations that my house would be swamped by them.
Thanks Ralf
Harvey, isn't your house swamped with these?
