Including Brooklins 1941 Buick 4 door convertible (that our esteemed moderator gave us a fantastic video on), these two Brooklin Oldsmobiles are some of my favorite Brooklin models.
They really show how far Brooklin has come in the use of chrome trim and fantastic details.
I have noticed on most of the earlier Brooklin models, the top half of the cars were kind of 'blocky' and 'square' and did not do a great job representing how the real car looked from the glass up to the roof. (A pillars, B pillars, and C pillars area)
I think they have fixed this issue with these new models.
Great pics, gorgeous models. There was some question as to the authenticity of the red inserts on the side molding on the Sedanette. I like them. The wagon is on sale at Brooklin right now.
Beautiful models from Brooklin, and I like these two advertisements of 1942:
And here's the only ad I could find of the woody:
I love these old ads that you post David, thank you and keep them coming. I have a book called 'Classic Muscle Car Advertising'.... it has all the crazy Muscle car ads from the late 60's to early 70's and covers all manufacturers and makes...the book has many pictures and has 160 pages.

Sir John,
I found the answer to the red inserts on the '42 Oldsmobile fastback in the Brooklin Collectors Guide.
The Guide has a picture of the real 1:1 car, with the red inserts.
The car belongs to the NB Center collection.
The guide does not say if the red inserts were factory painted, but now we know there was at least one real car with them.
