John, nice video of a historically significant Brooklin model. You have been collecting Brooklin models for a long time. How did you first learn about them?

@ed-davis, I was running a Ford dealership in 1989 when our truck manager gave me a 1958 Bonneville Pace Car. I was totally smitten!

@d-m-holcombe, that's a little peice of history in itself, David. You're pics are great as well. Thanks for all you bring to the Fourm.

Great video John! I like the way they kept it kinda crude but still accurate.....this model should prove somewhat collectable.
I was a dealership tech for many years....were you the GM at the Ford dealership John?
1989 was my last year in the Marine corps.
Another great video John. Thank-you for providing it. I have been interested in this model since I first heard of it. I wasted no time getting my order in, for me this is a must have model. I can't wait to have all that nostalgia right in my hand.

@ben-lampson, yes, I was GM at a Ford dealership, then a Chrysler-Jeep dealership.

@jkuvakas John; I worked at a Mercury, Lincoln dealership service department as a grease monkey as a kid in 1969. I had quit school, which I hated, and this was my first regular job...best thing I ever did; first step in a long journey. Lol. As a car fanatic I just loved the daily "buzz" around the dealership; the awesome cars (big changes in the Mercury lineup in '69), the relationships made with the mechanics, salesmen, jobbers, owner's family, etc. and the knowledge gained was something I have never forgotten.
