Thanks so much for the very informative background on the Breezeway development, I really enjoyed it. I just received this one yesterday and it is very impressive. Well done Sergio! I had hoped for the 2-door version but I do understand Sergio's decision to change his earlier planned 2-door configuration to address the large sedan crowd of collectors as well. I'm quietly hoping to see a '64 Marauder 2drht. in time with that beautiful sweeping roofline.....oh, and just maybe a Colony Park wagon! Lol.
I really like all 1960s Mercurys. I find the '63 version of this basic body design to be my favorite over the '64....but it is very close. IMHO the grille and tail lights of the '63 are a bit more attractive to my eye.
John, you're a natural (just another great review).... but re-visit your video @ the opening seconds, "....'74 Mercury?"
@chris, Ha! I just get too excited and, as my wife will tell you, I am the world's worst proofreader/listener. I always review my videos twice after completing them and before posting them. Of course, that doesn't always mean I'm paying attention!! Thanks for the heads up, and thanks for watching.

@jkuvakas Sorry John, I'm the worst proof-reader. In college, I'd go from an "A" to an "A-" because of it. Even now, I'll re-read something 10 times, post... then 3 days later discover 4 mistakes! 😫 😫
Trusmt me, I stnik!

I except...and I mean that!

Don't push my buttons John..... Don't tell me I read better than you!
@chris, sorry...I couldn't read what you wrote...too many sybalils...sblitsils...word parts

John, as always a wonderful review. I received the Bittersweet version last week and love it. Another winner from Goldvarg.
@jack-dodds There is a Marauder fastback in an inexpensive diecast. Probably not up to Goldvarg standards but not bad at all. Here's a blue one and a group of customs i did with some of them. Now I may have to add the Goldvarg Breezeway sedan to complete the range.

@john-quilter Excellent stock conversions that you apparently can perform effortlessly (you seem to complete so many). Acquiring Goldvarg's sedan is a must.
Your great looking mods/conversions always replicate 100% factory stock (..which I TRULY appreciate... LOVE 100% stock!)

Q: Why the non-period-correct "wide-whites?"
@chris Yes, always stock. Probably the cars in the picture above simply used the tires and wheels that came with the donor cars. Whitewalls can be problematic, decals sometimes work and I have used other methods like white painted wire rings for mid to late 60s cars with narrow white walls. Thanks for the complements. Truth be told, I've been at this conversion/modifying/building project for multiple decades, they were not all done last month. The late and renowned Bill Harrison was my mentor.

1) Yes, whitewalls can be problematic. I've "thinned" or "widened" several (all scales) using black Sharpie markers (wide to extra fine tip) and various size washers as templates. I'll bet you could use an extra-fine-tip and then trace around the wheelcovers to achieve a "slim-band" whitewall look.
2) I realize your conversion work has spanned years/decades -AND- like you, I too appreciate the "full model line-up" for any make/model/year. Very rarely can this be achieved without conversions/fabrications.
3) You do very nice work. I've enjoyed viewing your pics.
@john-quilter I've never used a white Sharpie.
-To make any whitewall wider, I use FLAT WHITE ACRLIC paint, then (if need be) I use a washer (as a guide) and with a BLACK Sharpie, re-do the outer/inner diameter (OD / ID) ...whatever may be needed.
-To make any whitewall thinner, I simply use a BLACK Sharpie on the ID or OD or both and washers as guides (if need be).
Here's just a few examples (1/18) where I needed to "adjust the whitewall widths" to reflect the period-correct size. The 1963 Lincoln needed "slim-bands," while the 1959 Pontiac required "narrower wide-whites."
