Brooklin's extensive range is really unmatched in it's wide variety and their quality has always been first-rate. I am very sorry that downsizing has affected any employees and a treasure like Amanda will be very much missed.
I like models built in any material, be it diecast, resin, plastic or white metal. EACH can and does have it's own advantages and drawbacks, so thinking of one as being clearly superior to any other is rather ridiculous and shortsighted. White metal can be expensive, but it's solid weight and long-term durability has it's great attractions and a section of the collecting community gravitates towards such offerings, as typified by the Brooklin range.
@jkuvakas I sent A email to Brooklin inquiring about Amanda. Got a reply from Simon Elford who informed me that he is the new contact. Told him that Amanda was the best and it’s a great opportunity for him to try and attain her status. Chuck
Thank you John K. I sent a note to the address you posted and hope to hear something soon.
@mikedetorrice On this point I must agree with Mike. Material doesn/t matter if the model is appealing and accurate.
If anyone is on the fence and considering a Brooklin model, now is the time to pull the trigger.
I just bought my third NBC model today.... I purchased the 1954 Cadillac with all the trimmings.
And just like the supercharger for my Corvette, it was pricey, but it was worth it!

@bob-jackman You are in panic mode for nothing....... they are not going out business but just downsizing. You are certainly not the first one to who it happened and you will receive a replacement part if you ask for.

LOL, guess what ? Bob knows more about collecting and cars and parts than likely anybody here and certainly more than me or you and is hardly in "panic mode".

His house is a model car museum! And this video was taken some 13 years ago, and I am certain his collection has grown even larger since!
Nickies, when it comes to model collecting, and probably many other things, Bob is the person you go to for advice, not the person you give advice to.
Thank you Mike and Ben. I'm guessing that nickles was trying to be helpful even if his wording was somewhat aggressive.
@mg-harv A number of staff from all areas were made redundant. Nobody was sacked
Thanks for sharing this video of Bob Jackman's collection. He has a very supportive and understanding wife.

Wow, being made redundant is different than being sacked?
You have a very impressive collection, but there is one thing I would like to know. Where do you keep all the boxes from all those models?

Bob; I am hoping that the difference for the folks affected at BRK will be a payout settlement for redundancy.
