Precision Miniatures, according to Hobby DB, was founded by Gene Parrill in 1978 and continued until 1986.  Gene produced this 2-model set in 1978, in 1:43 scale and white metal, as were all of his kits. PM fused with Motor City USA.  A later firm producing 1:18 scale models used the same PM name in Dyersville, IA.

These models needed some hand finishing, but they were rather well fitted.  Windshield were not included and had to be made. Axles not only were supplied but also fit!  The decals were somewhat decayed by age and I simplified them on the race version.  Sport and racing cars are not my usual baliwick, but these two have broadened my horizons;  my mind has been opened just a bit more.  But I think my next project is a return to the 30's.

I just re-discovered this one and really don't remember it.  Looks like some good reading ahead!

Precision Miniatures were quite will done for the time David. Certainly better finished that some Mikansue issues.

You did a very creditable job on these early Porsches. Thanks for sharing. Love the sand dune background and figures.

Their 1/40 Indy cars were amazing. Only reason I sold off mine was the slightly larger scale.
