Very, very early 1/43 resin kits. Article just published!

Hey, are any of you interested in very early resin kits? My friend and expert Alfa collector, Patrick, wrote about Paddy Stanley and Barry Lester (and John Day).

MAR Online OR http://www.maronline.org.uk/early-alfa-romeo-p2s/

Do you think he got it right? What could be earlier than these?

Also, one of our MAR Online authors is looking for Paddy Stanley's kit or built-up of the 1/43 Voisin C6 Laboratoire. Does anyone have any leads? All his kits seem to be very rare now.

This is the first time I've read of Barry Lester using resin...

Most of his early models were one-offs in wood and he made quite a number of different models with a leaning towards Bugatti and various Italian makes. Barry also made early brass patterns for John Day amongst others. I used to visit him in the early days, firstly in Salisbury and then Poole. His first white metal kit was the ERA.
Are you sure that Alfa P2 is resin as opposed to wood?

I have quite a few from the 80s I bought years ago when I thought I was going to build them...

Got distracted with life and stuff then had a heart attack. Now I'm finally building them. Brush painted a Record Lamborghini Countach. Bought two decent airbrushes (Badger internal mix and Paasche external mix) and been practicing with them. I'm about ready to try my hand at an older Porsche IROC using an airbrush.
