Victory Models very rare 1940 Buicks.
These are not very well known, because not very many were made. I tried to look for the original Invoices, but just too many to go through. I'd say a maximum of 75 to 100 models were made in the early 2000's.
I always liked the 1940 Buick. GM's first torpedo body styling. These are on the Super wheelbase, and I remember the man I hired to make the sedan master had a very hard time with the rear of the car, which was very important to me, for this was the basis for the Torpedo look. Very satisfied with the outcome. Too bad we didn't make more.

I would love to have these in my collection.
Oh that sedan is FANTASTIC!!
Really fine models. The sedan is ultra-special. Thanks for posting these good pictures.
Nice job Ray. I'm a fan of the Victory Models.
One of the value-added features I enjoyed on some of them was the ability to display cars like the convertible coupe with either top up or top down.
These are VERY nice!
1940 Buick Sedan
One of the all time favorites in my collection. My sedan does have the rippling whitewall problem. Any remedy?
Thanks for all of the nice comments,
I'll try to show more Victory, as well as other scarce models in the future. I dealt with many small companies from Europe, back in the day. Much different then.
Whitewalls for 1/43rd
These are decals. It depended on where we obtained the batches. I don't have them now, it's been 12 years since I used them, but I'm sure they are out there on a sheet, where you just peel them off and place on the tire. I would think you have to clean off the tire with, maybe some alcohol, before placing them. Try ebay, Some builders may have suouces. Sorry, I can't be of more help. It was expensive to make tires back then, so the decal was the alternative,
Bob,I have some contact me.
