There was criticism about the nose/hood being incorrect on the earlier 1949 Cadillac convertibles; which I agree with and notice on this new example as well. Personally I don't see it as a deal breaker; I bought two of them (top up and down versions) and am relatively satisfied. It certainly could be improved though IMHO.
The Convertible has a lot more issues than the hood being too short and wrongly shaped. The trunk is too. This model seems better but certainly not perfect. According to one vendor, it will be available in USA in a few weeks.
I am pleased with my '49 convertibles, they may not be perfect, but I like them. Until the defects were pointed out, I didn't see them. That doesn't make them right, but I good with what I have in hand.
The Sixty Specials are available now, I have one of each color on the way. I'll should have them soon.
