Whats your favorite model you had to have although it wasn't in your usual collection range? Mine is this 1939 American Bantam Boulevard Delivery by Invar models. It was just too cute to me! They went REAL fast then they came out.

Curtis, as I read your good post, I thought, "That's just the way I felt about this one." (pic)

Yes, it's another Inver Bantam. (Sorry about the dust.) I met the builder, Peter Naull, several years ago at an Austin meet in Hendersonville, NC. We were introduced by Dick Browne, the respected host for so many years of Forum 43. Peter has a firm in Scotland that builds miniatures for architectural firms (among other projects) and over the years he has produced a series of Bantam models in 1:43 scale. These are low production models and rarely seen on the secondary market. Peter is a long-time Austin supporter. He chose to build the American Bantam variation because the British version was already well represented. His work is admirable, and I feel lucky to own two. But this first one really tickled me. It still does!

I have found over the years only three other Bantams, plus the original Austin on which the Bantams were based. Here's a quick snap of them.

They really provide a change from my favorites, the classic Packards.
I have that one too, it's great but being that woodies are my main collection interest and American cars next, the little British delivery was a little outside my interest.
Curtis that model looks amazing. So cute.

Cute color combination! Just like a Bugatti! ...
😉 We talked about these here a while ago, so I added 4 to hobbyDB. Thanks to David and Harvey!
EMC's Horch 853 Voll & Ruhrbeck....I wish I never sold both versions.
But at that time I had to make a choice.
That one is a beauty - I think my top up version beats the top down.
Actually I have one on the way to me that meets the criteria - more later after it gets here.
I snagged both and have held on to them. They're two of my favorites.

I made the old Western Models version years ago...
They seemed rather nice at the time - also the coupe. I used Brooklin wheels on them.
