Following John Kuvakas’ excellent “My Take” interview with John Roberts are pictures of one in a series JR did a few years back when he performed his magic on a run of a dozen or so of ‘56 Buick Century 4 door hardtops that were available upon special order by the customer who could choose the color combination. Some beautiful Buicks were the result. Shown here is the car I ordered, a three tone finished in factory colors of two-tone green and white. Three-tone combinations were in vogue in the mid ‘50’s. Below is the image showing the colors I chose. Below that is a picture of the model on the bench of JR’s assembly plant showing other cars in progress as well. Then below that is the finished model.

Oh boy, that is a real beauty ! It is a Buick, a Brooklin and a fine 1/43 replica of an exceptionally nice car.
Very striking color combination, David.
Gorgeous David, lucky you. 👍

I have this model with a black top/ coral middle/ and white bottom. I had no idea it was this rare.
This is wonderful model by John Roberts. I'm very impressed of magnificant colour combination and design. It has very exactly proportions of body.
I mave watched some John Roberts works on Model Auto Review magazine.
