Brooklin’s 1982 CTCS edition, a Buckskin Tan ‘56 ‘Bird, is rarely seen on the market. Only 200 copies were built. My wife gave me my first one for Christmas several years ago. Another one came up recently and I thought I might as well get it as there aren’t that many out there. It arrived yesterday from an owner in Canada.
Actual ‘Bird located in Fredericksburg, Virginia
But then again, if you only have one

it is always nice to feel that heavy weight of a Brooklin, right ?
They look cozy together, meant for each other.
Quesstion: How do you display your Brooklins? [Obviously a few at at time!], But seriously if one doesn't have glass cabinets and enclosed shelving are there decent stand-alone cases for open shelving. or even stackable ones for those of us squeezed for space?
Your comment caused me to notice that the actual Fredericksburg car does not have the port holes. I had missed that! Does anybody know if the early ‘56 models lacked them, were they optional ? Did they become standard during the year?

Mark, I bought and assembled these two cases from a glass case maker who is no longer in business. And they are virtually full now. I have another cabinet with a glass door for my other cars that are not Brooklins.

@david-knight I like those, and I actually have room in our current place for them. I'll shop around. Do you keep the packaging? Ive been doing that. Many brands' boxes can be carefully be folded flat and remain intact. [Not Brooklin's]
David,
As I understand it, the only year you had the option of either having or not having the portholes was 1957. It is also my understanding that very few were specified without.
